History
Founded in 1997 by the Voluntary Hospitals of America (VHA) in Dallas, Texas, Superien was acquired in January 2001 by The Chandler Group of Companies. Conceived as an Affiliation of a number of the strongest regional PPOs in the United States, Superien is quickly becoming the largest independent healthcare PPO network in the country. Superien boasts a network of more than 4,000 hospitals and 450,000 physicians across the country.
